A Clear Insulation Barrier
Masonry cream provides a clear insulation barrier for single skin and cavity buildings. Research has shown it reduces heat loss and retains heat in walls.
According to UKAS accredited tests, our masonry cream reduces water absorption in walls, which improves thermal performance. This product has been proven to meet EAD 040083-00-0404.
Additionally, testing in a hygrothermal chamber revealed that masonry cream coated walls, subjected to repeated heat-rain conditions in accordance with EAD 090062-00-0404, resulted in reduced heat loss compared to uncoated walls (controls). On average, uncoated walls lost 6⁰C more heat than walls coated with ProPERLA Masonry Crème.
By keeping walls dry, the clear coating improves thermal efficiency and reduces energy consumption and energy bills. Having damp walls doubles the rate at which heat transfers from the inside out compared to having dry walls.
According to independent testing, ProPERLA Masonry Crème reduces water absorption by 96.3% and meets the British standard for water vapour resistance BS EN ISO 7783:2011.
